Cupcakes & Cousins

The kids had a blast visiting their auntie, uncle and cousins tonight for an impromptu Birthday celebration. Zoe is turning 11 tomorrow! She frosted all of these cupcakes all by herself for her classmates to enjoy. YUM!

Sweet Jette

Saturday at the Zoo

We looked at the seals, gazed at the flamingos (Jette loved them,) peeked over at the buffalo and when we got to the capybaras Lars decided to step up on the heavy rope gate so he could see better. When he tried to step out of the rope his shoe got caught and fell off into the water. There was no getting it back! I couldn't find a zoo worker anywhere and finally the gift shop lady gave me a lost & found phone number to call Monday. I am kind of thinking that we just need to suck it up and buy new shoes. Lars moped around in the stroller saying "my shoe...my shoe...i dropped my shoe in the water" the whole rest of the day. I really wish I had taken a picture of the shoe while it was floating but it sunk pretty quickly...so here are a couple of shots of my happy little ones BEFORE the shoe incident.

MORE wax

Would you believe I had another neighborhood vinyl discovery today? It was about a block from where I found the Perry Como record, sitting streetside in the brush. I'm starting to think I could change the direction of this blog and shoot pictures odd things I find on my daily walks with the kids. Or maybe strictly photos of vinyl? hmmm I will have to consider this. Enjoy today's vinyl finding!

Nice day

Finally a nice day! We went to the park and the kids played hard. Jette crawled around in the grass while Lars ran around with the older boys at the playground. I caught Jette in a sneeze! It turned out so funny!
